Wekiva Paint Out, started in 2006, is a celebration of Plein Air artists that helps benefit charities such as Keep Seminole Beautiful and Wekiva Wilderness Trust. All week long, guests can visit Wekiva Island free of charge and witness world-class artists painting along the boardwalk, in kayaks, canoes, at the bar and at various locations along the Wekiva River. Throughout the week, there will be plenty of opportunities to view the work, purchase their pieces. support our artists and charities, enjoy live music, indulge in great food and celebrate art in our community!

Each year over twenty professionally-acclaimed plein air artists paint at the Polasek Museum and at other locations throughout Winter Park and Orlando. Art lovers are invited to watch the artists at work and attend free painting demonstrations. Artwork created during the Winter Park Paint Out is on display as soon as they are completed and dropped off at the museum’s wet room. These wonderful paintings are available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds going to support the Museum. We hope you will visit us in 2026 to see and purchase some of the amazing works created by invited artists.
