2014- 2017

During these years I was still actively working in the licensing and design industry. Royalties were good but it was becoming evident that this very lucrative part of my art career was coming to an end due to less manufacturing of products made in China and more artists entering the arena. I stopped taking a booth at the Surtex Design show in NYC and quit attending market in Atlanta. There seemed to be no need in spending marketing money on trying to find new clients - the writing was on the wall. I continued to maintain the clients I had and decided to rent an outside studio space. By now I was used to re-inventing myself. I tried many things. I painted furniture, offered workshops and tried my hand at a variety of artistic endeavors. During this time my good friend and accomplished abstract artist, Audrey Phillips, joined me in renting the studio space. I will always be grateful for the fun we had when we shared that space together! I took several workshops and learned all about painting abstracts and all about painting with acrylics.

These are some of the artworks that came out of that time period.
